When a student encounters issues registering on your Career Center, the root cause depends on your institution's specific authentication setup. This guide helps you diagnose registration blockers across your authentication method—Email Address Domain Control, Webservice, or Single Sign-On (SSO)—and resolve them quickly.
1. Email Address Domain Control
If your Career Center relies on standard domain restriction, a registration failure indicates that the student is attempting to sign up with an unauthorized email address domain.
Ask the student for the exact email address they are using to attempt registration.
Confirm that they are using their official university email address in the approved format (e.g.,
@universityname.ac.uk).If the domain format is correct but the student remains unable to register, contact your Customer Experience Team (
support.careercenter@jobteaser.com) to update your authorized domain list.
2. Webservice Authentication
If your Career Center authenticates student profiles through a Webservice integration, registration issues typically point to missing permissions or data inconsistencies in your system.
Request the exact email address the student used during their registration attempt.
Contact your internal IT team to verify the following:
Is the student's email domain authorized by your Webservice?
Is the student's specific email address correctly configured and active in your database?
If your IT team confirms that the address is authorized and active, forward the details to your Customer Experience Team (
support.careercenter@jobteaser.com) for further technical investigation.
3. Single Sign-On (SSO) Authentication
For institutions using SSO, login credentials and identity verification are managed directly by your university's central identity provider.
Credential & Password Errors
If the student receives an error message regarding invalid credentials or password failures, direct them to your internal IT helpdesk for credential recovery.
System & Access Errors (e.g., Error 500, Access Denied)
If the student receives a technical error code (such as HTTP Error 500 or "Access Denied") despite entering valid credentials, take a screenshot of the error and contact your Customer Experience Team (
support.careercenter@jobteaser.com).
