At JobTeaser, thousands of job offers are shared across all our partner Career Centers, covering a wide range of industries, contract types, and locations.
But we know that not every opportunity is a perfect fit for your students. Maybe you’d like to:
promote more roles in small and medium-sized businesses,
focus on local opportunities, or
highlight jobs in your school’s area of expertise.
➡️That’s where a Crawler comes in!
What is a Crawler?
A Crawler (also called a scraper or spiderbot) is a smart tool we use to automatically retrieve job offers from external sources and display them directly in your Career Center.
In practice, it scans websites - most often job boards - for opportunities you want to showcase, and replicates the relevant job ads for your students.
Each Crawler is customized to match your school’s focus and your students’ needs. Once it’s set up, it keeps your job section fresh and relevant automatically, saving you time while helping students discover the right opportunities effortlessly.
Why choose a Crawler?
We designed the Crawler to be reliable, flexible, and scalable, so it grows and adapts with your Career Center.
Reliable and flexible: we tailor the configuration to your needs and filter sources to avoid irrelevant “liquidity,” ensuring only quality offers reach your students.
Tailored support: our technical experts guide you from the initial needs assessment through to implementation.
Dedicated and responsive support: even after activation, our Technical Operations team remains available for any adjustments or fine-tuning.
Scalable configuration: if your priorities or focus areas change, the Crawler can easily adapt.
And most importantly, it’s a significant time saver - everything runs automatically, with no manual actions required.
You gain in offer quality, time efficiency, and impact for your students.
How to set up a Crawler
A Crawler is a paid premium feature, available on request.
If you’re interested, reach out to your usual contact at JobTeaser, who will help you evaluate your needs. Once you decide to move forward, you will be connected with one of our Technical Operations specialists.
Together, we’ll define the type of opportunities you want to highlight and identify the sources that best match your students’ interests.
The full setup usually takes 1–2 weeks.
