Getting started with the new Resources module

Change the title of the home page

1. Login to the admin of your Resources module

2. Click on Manage the homepage

3. Change the title and save the changes

Define a main article and quick links

We use, the 1st theme of your module to display the star article and quick links. You can see it with the icon ★ that is displayed.

Please note that the first theme is the home theme:

  • Its first article is the star article
  • The following articles appear as quick access links

If you want to change this, you have 2 options:

Option 1 : Create a new theme

1. Click on Add a theme, write a theme title and save

2. Click on Manage the homepage, drag and drop this theme to the first position

3. Go to the theme details and add articles

4. Click on Order the articles to define your main article and your quick links

 

Option 2 : Use an existing theme

1. Click on Manage the homepage 

2. Drag and drop the theme to the first position, save your modifications

3. Click on Order the articles to define your main article and your quick links

 

* IMPORTANT: Only articles that belong to a "Theme" will be visible to students. It is therefore extremely important to make sure that each article is well related to a theme. To do this, open each article, click on "Edit" and go to the "Theme name" field to make sure that a theme is selected.

Pin a theme

1. Login to the admin of your Resources module

2. Click on Edit a theme

3. Tick the box to pin the theme on the homepage

4. Save your modifications

i. You can pin as many themes as you like. 

ii. If any of the first 3 pinned theme items does not have an image, then the configuration will be as follows ⬇️

Change menu organization

Student view

The menu display is a reflection of the topic titles created in the Resources module.

If a topic has no items or if they are disabled, the menu title will not be visible to your students. 

To change the organization

1. Login to the admin of your Resources module

2. Click on Manage the homepage

3. Drag and drop the themes to reorder them in the desired order.

4. Save your changes.

Add a description to an article

1. Login to your admin of the Resources module

2. Click on Edit an article

3. Write your description

4. Save your modifications

Add an image to an article

1. Login to your admin of the Resources module

2. Click on Edit an article

3. Add your image, we recommend to use a 16:9 format (you can also use royalty-free image librairies like Pexels, unDraw, Unsplash, etc.)

4. Save your modifications

☝️ Currently, an image is linked to an article. You cannot have different images per translation of the same article.

Translate an article

1. Login to your admin of the Resources module

2. From the homepage, check the language tags in which your article is translated.

On the example below, we notice that the article is not yet written in French.

3. If needed, change the language of your portal.

4. Edit the article you want to translate and save your modifications.
