The alumni can keep his academic email address and remain in the identity management system (IDM/IDP)
This is the easiest way to do!
If the university allows the alumni to keep their academic email address and is able to send us the same email address via the SSO, the student can keep the same account on the Career Center without having to modify anything.
The university does not have to do anything.
The alumni cannot keep his academic email address, but the university provides him with an “alumni” email address and he can remain in the identity management system (IDM/IDP)
In this situation, the alumni cannot keep his academic email address but the university provides him with an alumni one. For example : email@example.com
If this is the case, we have to check with the IT team of your university the status of the UID:
- if the UID remains the same, the student can keep his account
- if the UID changes, a new account will be created
The students are no longer on the IDP/IDM and have to use the sign-in page by JobTeaser.
If the two ways explained above cannot be chosen, the student will have to use a personal email address.
If your students keep an email address from your institution, we can set up an email domain verification, otherwise you can also open the alumni access to any email address.
This means the Career Center will be accessible to every email address domain.
A communication is to be made to the alumni in order to inform them that they have to change their email address directly from their account before they graduate to keep the same account. The alumni then need to use the following link and ask for a new password:
If there is no communication, the alumni need to use the same link as above to create a new account.
Email domain verification
This can be used if your students keep an email address by your institution, but will no longer be stored on the SSO server.
If the email address is the same as the one via SSO, they need to create a password on https://yourdomain.jobteaser.com/en/users/sign_in by clicking on "Forgot password".
If the email address is different, you have to follow the same procedure as with open access above. The only difference is that you can restrict which alumni can register on your platform.
